On January 21, 2020, I had the opportunity to present “Elevator Pitches for Lawyers” at the Denver law firm Holland & Hart. The audience included corporate lawyers in many different practice areas. This was a live program that was recorded and webcast to multiple Holland & Hart offices across the West Coast.
During my lecture, I highlighted the best practices for elevator pitches, such as optimal times to pitch, why every lawyer should have one, and how to use them. I also provided insight into how they can create their own elevator pitch with a 30-second summary describing what you do and in which industry.
With many of the audience members being young lawyers, I touched on ways to quickly leverage their fresh perspective on the legal industry as a means to get their foot in the door for networking and business building. In this interactive presentation, a real-time example of an elevator pitch was provided from a Nevada attorney focused on B2B business development.
