On January 17, 2020, I participated in a panel moderated by Marci Fulton, Assistant Dean for Employer Relations and Outreach at the University of Colorado Law School, for the 9th Annual JD Pathways Career Conference. Joined by attorney panelists from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP and many other attorneys from the Denver, Colorado region. The JD Pathways Career Conference is an all-day event designed to inspire Colorado Law students and learn more about career options and preparation.
A Q&A session was held where panelists provided business development and networking advice to first-year Colorado Law students. Panelists answered many questions on how to write a compelling cover letter and presentation for quality resumes. They also provided guidance on the interview process at law firms to land a great job, while emphasizing the importance of starting business development and networking in law school.
