On October 30, 2020, Meranda Vieyra, CEO of Denver Legal Marketing, presented “Good ADR Practice Marketing in a Bad Economy” at the 14th Annual Colorado ADR Conference hosted by the Colorado Bar Association.
Meranda highlighted key areas that ADR practitioners can use to build their network and leverage it into marketing opportunities for their ADR practices. She shared insight for better credentialing, networking, and online marketing during an economic downturn during her presentation.
Meranda shared that to build the vision of your ADR practice, you need to know what you personally value and know the value of your services, and how impactful you can be in your community. This will directly contribute to your branding. Belief buying is more important than ever this year. Look at other ADR professionals who are doing it well. She also states that choosing a cause or topic that aligns with your brand will help vet business opportunities.
Next, Meranda expressed that visibility and networking in a virtual environment are possible and necessary to stay viable in a bad economy. However, a plan and commitment are required. She also shared tips on creating an elevator speech because it is an essential part of networking.
Lastly, Meranda covered online reputation management recommendations such as important website elements, social media strategy, and credentialing and resume maintenance. She closed the presentation with the importance of never to stop marketing or business development.
