Denver Legal Marketing was recently honored as a recipient of the Inclusiveness@work awards from The Center for Legal Inclusiveness (CLI). DLM won in the businesses/corporations category.

About The Center for Legal Inclusiveness

CLI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Denver, CO. Their goal is to increase diversity, equity, and inclusiveness in the legal profession. CLI creates and supports programs that give individuals and companies the resources they need to develop inclusive workplaces that promote and sustain diversity throughout the legal profession.

Although diversity has improved in the legal profession in recent years, it takes supplemental knowledge and determination to embrace inclusiveness in the legal workplace. Diversity involves recruiting underrepresented professionals. Inclusiveness requires creating a culture where everyone has a voice and celebrating differences to achieve mutual success.

CLI focuses on the following differences:

  • Age and generation
  • Race, ethnicity, heritage, and national origin
  • Gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation
  • Abilities and disabilities
  • Faith, religion, and spiritual beliefs

CLI INclusiveness@Work Award Nominations

The Inclusiveness@Work awards are reserved for those who shine at encouraging and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in their workplaces. Each year, CLI accepts nominations for the following five award categories:

  • Business/Corporate
  • Individual
  • Law Firm/Legal Department
  • Young Professional
  • Nonprofit/Government/Community Organization

In addition, the Board of Directors of CLI also awarded the Judge Wiley Daniel Inclusiveness@Work Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious honor is reserved for someone who has a minimum of 10 years of documented accomplishments and efforts in creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession in Colorado.
